Prayer of the Day
Simeon . . . was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.
Luke 2:25
Lord, may I be found waiting for You, as Simeon waited for the coming of his Master. Forgive me for the times I have been consumed by my roles and responsibilities as a parent, and fill me with a longing and eager expectation for Your second coming. May Your Holy Spirit dwell within me, and create in me a deeper desire to know, love, and follow You as my Lord and Saviour.
