Prayer of the Day
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away;
may the name of the LORD be praised.
Job 1:21
Sovereign Lord, You give us life and breath and everything else on heaven and on earth (Acts 17:24–25). You have graciously blessed me with my family, spouse and children. Yet I pray that my praise will not stop there, even if You sovereignly decide to take these gifts away. Teach me to praise You when You give—and when You take away. May Your name be glorified not just in the mountaintops but in the valleys of my life.
