May We Seek Your Face

Lord, You are almighty and all powerful and all worthy to be praised. We pray that our family will look to You and Your strength for all that is ahead of us today: our work, studies, chores, caregiving, and whatever portions You have for us this day. May our children not depend on their own effort or might to get them to places, but to learn to lean on You, our Rock and Redeemer. More than that, we pray that our family will seek Your face continuously, and to cry out as the psalmist did: “You have said, ‘Seek my face.’ My heart says to you, ‘Your face, Lord, do I seek.’” (Psalm 27:8)
