Rich in Good Deeds

Lord of heaven and earth, humble us so that we do not trust in our wealth, which is so uncertain, but trust in You, for You richly give us all we need for this life (1 Timothy 6:17). May we look for opportunities to do good to others around us, whether it’s relatives, neighbours, friends, colleagues, or those in need. May we learn to always be tenderhearted in generosity and our eagerness to share, not just our resources, but also our time and attention. Help us to remember that as we do good, we are storing up treasures “as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that [we] may take hold of the life that is truly life” (1 Timothy 6:19).
