Prayer of the Day
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
—Matthew 24:35
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
—Deuteronomy 6:6–9
Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life (John 6:68). I know that heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will never pass away. Help me to faithfully teach my child Your Word, and to memorize Bible verses and prayers so she can hide Your Word in her heart to keep from sinning. May she hear Your Word and hold onto it with a good and honest heart that will bear fruit with patience (Luke 8:15).
