Help Us Persevere

Holy God, help me and my spouse to be alert and intentional in walking by the Spirit each day, knowing that the devil is prowling around and “looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Purify us as we daily deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Your Son. Keep us in Your love, Lord, that we may not wander away from the faith and lead our children away from You. Enable us as husband and wife to spur each other on towards love and good deeds, encouraging each other in our relationship with You as we await Christ’s return (Hebrews 10:24–25).
