Prayer of the Day
Rid yourselves of all the offences you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit.
Ezekiel 18:31
Heavenly Father, forgive us our sins this day, as we forgive those who have sinned against us. We repent of every sin committed against You—every unkind thought, every angry word, and every evil deed towards one another. Impress upon our hearts the weight of our sins, so that we will have godly sorrow that brings repentance leading to salvation (2 Corinthians 7:10). Help me and my spouse to model to our children humility and repentance, so that they too will learn how to turn to You for a “new heart and a new spirit” (Ezekiel 18:31).
