Prayer of the Day
Train yourself to be godly.
1 Timothy 4:7
O God, You are perfect in Your glory, majesty, and holiness. I pray that I will make every effort to train myself in godliness, knowing that “godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come” (1 Timothy 4:8). Help me to grow as Your disciple, to abide in Jesus, and to bear the fruit of Your Spirit. May I be diligent in watching my life and faith and giving myself wholly to You, so that my children and spouse may see my progress and be led to worship You (1 Timothy 4:15–16).
