Prayer of the Day
Return to your rest, my soul,
for the Lord has been good to you.
Psalm 116:7
Gracious God, I confess that I often turn to worldly distractions in a bid to find rest. Yet Your Word tells me that my soul’s true rest can only be found in You. Teach me to rest in my free time by praying and giving thanks to You, and by meditating on Your Word and dwelling in Your presence. Help me to remember that in repentance and rest is my salvation, and in quietness and trust is my strength (Isaiah 30:15).
