Prayer of the Day
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2–3
Heavenly Father, I pray that my spouse and I will grow in humility, gentleness, patience, and love in relating with each other and with our children. Forgive us for the times we have been proud, harsh, impatient, and unloving in speaking to each other. Help us not to sin in our anger, but to be quick to extend kindness, compassion, and forgiveness as we dwell on our Saviour’s own forgiveness towards us (Ephesians 4:26, 32). In so doing, may we “live a life worthy of the calling [we] have received” (v. 1).
