Prayer of the Day
[Jesus said] “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5
O Lord, I pray that my children will depend on You for everything they need in every single area of their lives. Cultivate in them hearts that are totally dependent on You, as a branch relies on the vine for life and nourishment (John 15:4). Use us as parents to lovingly tend to them, so that they may learn to abide in You, and flourish not just physically or academically, but also spiritually, to be men and women after Your own heart. I ask that You will prune and refine them, so that they will grow in bearing the fruit of the Spirit and glorify Your glorious name (John 15:2, 8).
