Prayer of the Day
[The angel said] “Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.”
Daniel 10:12
O Lord, thank You for giving to us this example of devotion in Daniel, who sought Your understanding and humbled himself before You. May my children, spouse, and I have the same desire to seek Your wisdom and the same humility in approaching You. As Your Word beckons: “Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded . . . Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” (James 4:8, 10)
