Prayer of the Day
A hot-tempered person stirs up conflict,
but the one who is patient calms a quarrel.
Proverbs 15:18
Gracious God, forgive me for the times I have shown my temper and been harsh with my words towards my children. Sanctify and enable me to be patient and long-suffering towards them, and to be “quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry” (James 1:19). Grant me wisdom and the forbearance to hear my children out, to resolve any disagreements, and to be the bearer of calm in our home.
