Prayer of the Day
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
Colossians 3:23
Heavenly Master, align my disposition towards work—whether at home or outside—to Your perfect will. You know my inclination to work for human praise, power, and prestige; and my tendency to feel discouraged, unappreciated, and resentful when I do not get what I think I deserve. Grant me a fresh understanding of the work You have apportioned for me this day, that I may work at it wholeheartedly, with the peace that I am ultimately working for You, and that I will “receive an inheritance from [You] as a reward” (Colossians 3:24).
