Prayer of the Day
A heart at peace gives life to the body,
but envy rots the bones.
Proverbs 14:30
Lord, forgive me for the times I have envied others for what they have, and not been thankful for all that You’ve graciously given to me. Teach me what it means to be contented, as I learn to turn my eyes to You whenever I am tempted to compare. Help me to remember that at the end of the day, it is not things or money that will save me, but that “whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for their children it will be a refuge” (Proverbs 14:26).
