Prayer of the Day
[Jesus said] “I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
John 14:2
Lord Jesus, forgive me for the times that I’ve thought of this world as my permanent home, and forgotten that my eternal abode is with You in the Father’s house. You have promised that You will return one day and take me with You (John 14:3). In the midst of the busyness of life and responsibilities, I pray that I will long for Your second coming, and declare as David did: “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.” (Psalm 73:25)
