Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
—Colossians 3:13
So watch yourselves. If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying “I repent,” you must forgive them.
—Luke 17:3–4

Lord, just as You are a loving and forgiving God, and just as You have completely forgiven our sins, help my child follow in Your footsteps and learn to forgive in the same way. May my child deeply understand the grace she has been extended through Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, and may its reality compel her to extend forgiveness to those around her.
