Prayer of the Day
Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.
Proverbs 15:16
What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with which they labor under the sun? All their days their work is grief and pain; even at night their minds do not rest. This too is meaningless.
Ecclesiastes 2:22-23
Lord, help me to be efficient and effective at the workplace, but not to the point of forsaking You and my family. Forgive me when I bring the frustrations and performance-focused attitude of work back home, or when I do not have the time or energy to show my child Your compassionate love because I am caught up with work. I ask for greater enabling to put my family first, above work, and I pray that I will, with Your help, love them deeply and unconditionally, with Your love.
