Prayer of the Day
The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7
O God, equip me to raise my children not to fear man or to love the world, but to fear and love You alone. As I seek to raise them in Your ways, please help me to instil in them not just an outer conformity to rules, but an inner obedience and devotion to You, too. May this be my family’s prayer each day: “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23–24).
