Prayer of the Day
The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
1 Samuel 3:10
Heavenly Father, I confess that as a parent, I am often like Martha—busy, distracted, and “worried and upset about many things” (Luke 10:41). I fail to be like Mary, who chose what is better—to sit at Jesus’ feet and listen to Him. Teach me to have the same posture as Samuel did, and say to You each day: “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:9).
