Prayer of the Day
The overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife . . . He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect.
1 Timothy 3:2–4
Heavenly Master, thank You for entrusting to me this responsibility of leading my family. May I strive to be pure and blameless in Your sight in every way as I care for my family, whether or not I am in a church leadership position. May I rejoice in the wife of my youth, and be devoted to her alone (Proverbs 5:18–19). Teach me how to manage my family well as I learn from Your perfect example of fatherly love. Cultivate within me a spirit of gentleness, patience, and forbearance, as I nurture, encourage, and discipline my children, so that they may see You in me.
