Prayer of the Day
The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light.
Romans 13:12
Merciful God, I confess that I’ve often lost sight of the big picture—of the preciousness of the redemption You’ve bought for me through Christ’s life, and the coming consummation when Your kingdom will arrive in its fullness. Amid the daily demands of family life, I ask that Your Spirit will keep me from spiritual slumber and sleepiness, enable me to be wakeful and watchful, and equip me with Your armour of light as I parent my children and walk by faith and not by sight.
