Prayer of the Day
[God said] “I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
Genesis 3:15
Lord, You defeated Satan, sin, and death once and for all through Christ’s resurrection, fulfilling Your prophecy made thousands of years past. Even though I still struggle with sin within me and around me, I too can put to death my sinful nature in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit (Colossians 3:5). Enable me to put on my new self as I root myself in Your Word, so that I may be “renewed in knowledge” in Your image (Colossians 3:10).
