Prayer of the Day
A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold
In settings of silver.
Proverbs 25:11 (NKJV)
Lord, I often feel at a loss when my children say things or ask questions that I don’t know how to answer. I worry that I may have lost an opportunity to encourage them or to strengthen their faith. I pray for Your Holy Spirit to grant me wisdom and discernment to know when to speak and when to stay silent, what to say, and how to say it. I commit my speech—and silence—to You today, and ask You to guide me as I relate to my children.
