Prayer of the Day
After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet.
John 13:5
Majestic King, You are mighty, glorious, and holy in perfection. And yet You chose to make yourself nothing “by taking the very nature of a servant” in human likeness, and humbling yourself by becoming obedient to death on a cross (Philippians 2:7–8). Help me to meditate on Your humility and servanthood, and meekly live the same way as You did. May I lovingly and obediently serve You in how I serve my family willingly and sacrificially, for Your glory.
