Prayer of the Day
Do everything in love.
1 Corinthians 16:14
Gracious Saviour, as I meditate on Your own great love for me, I pray that I will live this life as an outpouring of gratitude to You, in the way I do all things in love. I confess that many times, I do things and parent my children out of habit, pride, greed, or even idolatry. Help me to be on my guard, to stand firm in my faith, and to be strong and courageous (1 Corinthians 16:13). Grant me a fresh understanding of my role as a father or mother, as a husband or wife, and as a child of Yours, to see how I am to live this life You have given me out of love—for You and for others You have placed in my life.
