Prayer of the Day
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
—1 Corinthians 6:19–20
Lord, establish a healthy body image in my child. Strengthen him to resist the world’s flighty standards of physical appearance. Instead, grant him the spiritual insight to see that his body is Your holy temple and that he glorifies You when he respects and cares for it. Develop in him the discipline of an athlete who eats healthily and exercises well so he can be strong and fit to serve You in his calling.
